Dr Grahame Deane

Grahame moved to Port Macquarie in 2014 after 32 years as a rural GP in Gunnedah where he also provided obstetric, anaesthetic, surgical and emergency care at the local hospital, as well as training the future workforce. In 2011 he was recognised as Australia’s Rural GP of the Year, and in 2012 was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia. He continues his interest in antenatal care, paediatrics and all areas of family medicine, with specific skills in skin cancer management. Dr Sam has worked in the Camden Haven for nearly 20 years, making him the longest serving GP in the area. He is the founding Director of Lake Cathie Medical Centre, opening its doors in December 2008. His wealth of experience also includes special interests in tropical medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology and skin cancer. He can speak Hindi, Urdu and Telugu, and in his spare time he is an avid table tennis player.

For 17 years, Dr Oliver worked in Emergency Departments at Port Macquarie and Kempsey hospitals. His emergency skills and knowledge are great assets and he is well known and liked amongst GP’s, nurses and specialists in the district. Nadia has worked in General Practice for over 15 years. Originating from Sydney, Nadia and her family fell in love with the Port Macquarie-Hastings area in 2009 and later returned to make it their permanent home.
